Darkening of the Light

receptive earth and clinging flame

darkening -adversity
persevere

the light sinks into the earth
the superior man does likewise
his light veiled yet shining

                             *

darkness during flight
yet the superior man takes the necessary precautions
the host gossips about him

he is injured yet gives aid

darkness during the hunt
the leader is captured
no expectations

he delves into the heart of the matter

darkness -as in the old tales
persevere

he ascends to heaven
he falls to earth
