Welcome to the November, 2013 Newsletter

Welcome to the November Newsletter. There was no newsletter in October. Instead, Bill and I put all our energy into getting chapbooks and books ready to be published. This month, 3 chapbooks and 3 full-length books will be officially released. We are very excited about this.

As some of you know, we have been behind schedule but we are working non-stop to get books out. Please be patient. In 2014, all the books will be out. We plan on being caught up. If you don't want to wait, then you need to let us know.

Some of you might have seen my announcement of a few changes on FB with Cervena Barva Press.
In 2015, Flavia Cosma will be my International Editor. I am very, very excited to have Flavia be a part of the press! Welcome Flavia!

Another change is The Lost bookshelf Bookstore will now have a physical location besides being online.

The bookstore will be in the Cervena Barva Press Studio. The bookstore will be open starting November 16th, just in time for the holiday season. The official opening will be in January. More presses are now sending us books since we have a physical space. In the bookstore you will find books on consignment by authors and presses of poetry, fiction, plays, memoir, non-fiction, anthologies, magazines, and used books priced between $.25-$3.00. Real bargains! All Cervena Barva Press books and chapbooks will also be on sale in the space. If you are in the area, come check us out. We will be offering free gift wrap.

fund-raising month

Usually October and November is fund-raising month. Bill and I decided to hold off and hold it in November and December.

We really need the funds to keep publishing our books, help pay for our space, publicity, stamps, ink, paper and the list goes on. Publishing books does not come cheap. In our space, we are trying to make it a space for writers. We hold readings, workshops and book launches. Bill and I are still building it up. Please help us out by donating to the press. Our survival depends on it!!!! If you want to see something for the money you donate, order books! Anything you do is appreciated!!!!! So yes, it is begging time from the press. Please donate! We can't publish books and do the things we do unless we have money.

You can donate by Credit Card through PayPal by clicking the donation button on our fundraising page:
